Awesome Doug. I live in Tallahassee too. I am doing a restoration on my 1969 2a 88. with a new galvinized frame. I am having some issues putting it all back together, due to the fact that it has been disasembed for 11 years. I need to look at another 2a to see were everything goes. The haynes manual only gets me so far. Your series 3 V8 won’t help much. but I would love to see it anyway. Series Land Rover are very rare here in Tallahassee. Unfortunately there are no mechanics in the Tallahassee area that are famiular with our verhicles, and your 1982 modal is grey market, extremely rare in these parts. If you decide to do the work yourself, take pictures first, millions of them.
I have a monumental task on my hands, but I don’t fret it. It is a long term project that I can only afford in stages. I love working on the Rover. It is a stress relieving hobby, even if I do pull some hair out from time to time. It will roll again someday.
I believe we help each other out, at least support each other. give me a shout.
RoverDan 850-284-9455. As I think about it, I have met a Doug Muir before. We may know each other.
